Apply for Funding Each year, GuideOne Foundation accepts compelling requests for grants and event sponsorships of $2,000 or less to charitable organizations that positively impact the communities where our employees live and work. Preference is given to proposals that: Demonstrate a literary/educational, scientific or religious focus. Have an established relationship with one or more employees of GuideOne Insurance or The Mutual Group (e.g., board members, volunteers, etc.). Identify in-person or virtual volunteer opportunities that could be available to employees of GuideOne Insurance or The Mutual Group. Eligibility Requirements GuideOne Foundation will only consider requests from organizations that: Are nonprofit, charitable organizations that have been designated tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Serve the community without discrimination based on sex, race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, gender expression, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic or status protected by law. Do not have a current or proposed business relationship with GuideOne Insurance (e.g., policyholders, vendors, etc.). The following types of organizations and activities are ineligible for funding: Organizations that are designated private foundations under section 509(a). Social, labor, alumni and fraternal associations. Political organizations and organizations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation or campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office. Individuals. Application Process GuideOne Foundation receives a multitude of funding requests for worthwhile projects every year. Unfortunately, we cannot fund every worthy request. Therefore, we use a competitive process to identify eligible nonprofit organizations that best align with our funding priorities and criteria. In order to be considered, applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. (CT) on the funding cycle's deadline. For the 2025 Funding Cycle (April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026), the deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2025.
